Our Story
A quiet idea in Hiriketiya that became a home
Sometimes life brings people together in the most unexpected ways. For us, it began when Dee, from the UK, booked a stay at a villa in Hiriketiya that Pasi was managing. What started as a chance meeting turned into something life changing. Dee was only meant to be here for six months, but four and a half years later, here we are, married, building a life together, and creating something truly special in the place Pasi calls home.
Pranaya started as a small and humble dream, a little hostel, a small clothing brand, and a coffee and cake café. It has grown organically, shaped by love, hard work, and the incredible support of our local community. Today, Pranaya has blossomed into something bigger. A new home for our café and restaurant is coming, with larger and more comfortable accommodation, a yoga shala, our surf school, and our own clothing brand.
We have also added Pranaya Villa, a private hideaway in the heart of the village, perfect for up to four guests who want peace and connection.
